Bringing Visual Appeal
Citrus twists are easy to make, and they add visual appeal to your drink. It’s simple! Here’s how.
- Slice a ring from either a fresh lemon or orange, about 1/4 inch thick, from the thickest part of the citrus.
- Using a paring knife, cut around the fruit to separate the peel from the citrus; you should now have one long thin strip of peel.
- Trim any white part of the peel (the pith) away from the citrus peel strip.
- Here’s the fun part: Twist the peel into a curly shape. You can do this with your hands, or you can twist it around a long skewer or chopstick. The warmth of your hands should allow it to naturally hold its shape.
- Voila! These lovely citrus garnishes couldn't be easier to make - and it will add a lovely, aromatic touch to your drink.
