Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse

Ingredientes

  • 8 oz. semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 6 Tbsp. Monin Irish Cream Syrup - divided
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar

Preparación

      1. Using a double boiler, melt the chocolate and granulated sugar until well incorporated and smooth in texture.
      2. Add the egg yolks and 1/4 cup of the Irish cream syrup and whisk in until thoroughly blended.
      3. Continue to gently heat the mixture in the double boiler, whisking frequently, until warmed through and slightly thickened.
      4. Once thickened, remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
      5. In a separate mixing bowl combine the cream and powdered sugar and whip to stiff peaks. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of Irish cream syrup to the whipped cream and mix well.
      6. Gently fold the cream mixture into the chocolate in 3 to 4 separate batches until fully incorporated.
      7. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Once the mixture has fully chilled, serve as desired.
