Hot Honey Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Monin Hot Honey Syrup
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream​
  • 3/4 cup whole milk​
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted​
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour​
  • 1 1/2 cups fine ground corn meal​
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder​
  • 1 tsp. salt​
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme ​
  • 1/2 tsp. rubbed sage​

Glass Size: 1 (9-inch) skillet.

Instructions

      1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and place 9-inch cast iron skillet inside to preheat.​
      2. In a mixing bowl, combine all wet ingredients and mix until combined.​
      3. In a separate mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix until combined.​
      4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until homogenous.​
      5. Remove cast iron skillet from oven and thoroughly spray with cooking oil.​
      6. Pour batter into the hot skillet and spread evenly, then place back into the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is a dark golden brown.​
      7. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.​
